save money, cut out poisons, bring back native birds and insects, reduce pollution, reduce water use, get rid of the lawn mower, and create a native wonderland for your kids to explore and play in. sound good? then it’s time to lose the lawn and replace it with a beautiful california native plant garden. the south bay’s own native landscape architect, alrie middlebook has been instrumental in the lose the lawn movement. her landscapre firm, middlebrook gardens, will remove your non-native lawn and other invasive plant species, install a new native garden and help you maintain it for the first two years. at that time your native garden will be flourishing and giving back to mother earth by saving water and adding much needed pollinators. and if you need another reason to lose the lawn, know that your yard will be in bloom and looking good all year round! so, garden with mother nature, not against her! www.losethelawn.com
