The Purple Hippo Art Studio is a fabulously creative space for kids to explore their inner Van Gogh without splattering paint on your kitchen floor. Stay and play in the open studio, completely stocked with every craft imaginable. Tucked away in the Dunwoody Village shopping center, this little gem offers camps, classes and a daily chance for your little one to make a glittery mess you don't have to clean up.

baby loves disco never would have made it to atlanta if it weren't for the "nudging" of three mommas. the first, dina Fuchs Beresin (pictured left) , was not only the most persistent but also incredibly informative and nice! now, dina gets her wish in finding a place for her daughter eva to dance, and also takes over as HMIC (head momma in charge!). and tanya hyman (mother of Paul and husband to andy (who has my favorite store in atlanta) completes the crew that will serve to host both me and you.

in investigating the world of atlanta parenting we met lots of cool folks - including the parents behind atlkids.com, which features great resources including cool finds, a shopping section, community postings and a free weekly newsletter. check 'em out here.

They call it "hotlanta" for a reason but you don't need to feel the burn. Skincare is serious business and the two Atlanta women behind Dim Sun have combined fashion and sun-sense by creating one-of-a-kind t-shirts that promote sun safety. Plus, twenty percent of the proceeds go to charity. Check out their wares at www.dim-sun.com and do yourself (and your skin, and your kids) a favor.

You and your kids can live in high style with bedding and chic accessories from www.dwellshop.com. The two founders are new mommies themselves (one grew up in the ATL). Their hip designs have been featured in magazines galore while mom's like Gwen Stefani and Liv Tyler remain huge fans. You will be too. just dwell on it.

parents of atlanta, celebrate your own. the pokey pup (www.pokeypup.com) is a new e-tailer offering busy parents a brain-teasing mix of music and other smart media. The Pokey Pup is like having a friendly independent record store in your own home. The brainchild of Bryan Townsend, a music industry veteran, educator and owner of Underdog Records in Atlanta. get pokey with the puppy right here.

host momma dina provided this list of "the top 10 things i like to do with my daugther eva in atlanta". click here to check it out, click here to recommend more spots to dina.
