finally! an article that confirms my own observations with that toddlers really do fall in love! many of you know the story of how i caught my 4 year old charlie smooching his "wife" alex in our basement! a quick google search turns up more gems like this video of katelyn and elija; or this, a true toddler love story; or this great piece by jason king documenting his son's young blood love story.

seattle bld host momma laura glass is taking her daughter sophie to witness the inauguration of President Obama. They will be in DC for the week and in place of homework Sophie offered to keep a blog which she will update throughout the trip and on the plane. Since most 9 year olds do not yet have email (including Sophie until we set up her blog) they are sending this out to family and friends to be able to read and follow the journey. come along for the ride!

the iphone applications (apps as they say baby!) have rocked my world several times over, but the latest discovery came while we were away for the holidays and forgot the baby monitor. we just downloaded the baby monitor app and bam - good to go. Presumably your iPhone recognizes sound and when the baby wakes up, the iPhone calls the land line.

i don't have tivo, and never watch "my shows" anymore since baby, but i'm back since discovering hulu.com - my new favorite place to watch tv while i'm working. a sinful indulgence i guess, but the hulu put me to the test. you have to sign up, it's free, just enter your email address and check off a few boxes, and then BAM, you're in with an seemingly endless supply of movies, tv shows (real current ones!) and more - all instant and free and in high def right on your computer screen! this week alone i got hooked with the office went way back to st.elmo's fire and got into it's always sunny in philadelphia

as if my life could possibly be more random.... last week i made my bbc debut on the season finale of the network's most popular show, the dragon's den. it was me and u.k. bld queen naomi taking on the big bad dragons in a reality tv meets game show type of affair. super funny to watch myself looking like cindy brady all freaked out by the red light on the camera but really.... i couldn't understand a word the scottish guy was saying! totally entertaining to watch our segment (about 12 minutes). try part one here, part two here and yes i know - naomi is a star!

back from london where we spent some time checking ot Club4Climate a new sustainable nightclub in the UK. In addition to using a dance floor that captures enough energy to supply 60 percent of its power needs, the club requires that all patrons sign a pledge to help fight global warming; it also waives the GBP 10 admission fee for those who can prove they travelled there by foot, bicycle or public transport. Low-voltage lighting and recyclable materials are used throughout the club, which also serve organic spirits in polycarbon cups and employ a recycled-water system for flushing the toilets. check 'em out here
